Rick and his wife Janet have been married for over 32 years, and have 2 married daughters, and 3 grandchildren. He has been a Christian since 1990, and became a member of Adventure Christian Church in November 2004. Rick works as a Captain for a Fire Department in Contra Costa County. He prefers to spend any “free” time hanging out with family. Rick also enjoys reading, hiking, and biking. His Spiritual gifts are encouragement and hospitality. Rick’s favorite scripture is Psalm 15. It reads: “LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.”
The thing Rick likes most about Adventure is being able to make the big church small by loving God’s people one at a time through the Compassion Ministry.
