Vision

The Food Closet ministry is a way to help meet the necessities of people in our church body and in our community currently facing hardships, secondly to bridge a gap for the individual to connect with Jesus by seeing how God uses the local church to meet their needs.

 

Mission

To share the love of Jesus by educating, resourcing and providing for peoples needs during the initial crisis.

We are not a food bank and so we are not set-up to supply people on a continuous basis. We take food donations from our church body and then these donated items are boxed and given as gifts to those in need.

 

Current Food Pantry Needs

We are in need of the following items:

• Spaghetti sauce
• Spaghetti
• Canned fruit
• Jelly
• Rice
• Boxed Potatoes

Please bring items to the church office Monday – Thursday.

 

Some ways that you can help in this ministry are:

Help box up canned and dried food

-When there is a canned food drive, help collect and sort the items

-Volunteer on a Tuesday or Thursday morning when the Food Closet is open to help those in need

-Data entry of the intake forms from those in need
