What is worship arts?

Worship arts are the expression of worship through the many different arts and talents God has given us. At Adventure, we love the arts and are always on the lookout for talented people who want to use their gifts to glorify God. Through song, through art, through drama, and through media, we all praise!!!

My Story

A young man, serving in my local Catholic church in Melbourne Beach FL, I saw a series of controversies and deceptions in my local church that directly harmed my family and drove me to stop attending services altogether.  I was very angry at God and so my life went on.. without God”.
I spent many years on the road as a professional rock musician, influenced by some of the greats, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, Led Zep, and… the party life.  We played all around the country and even some in Europe (this led to a pretty empty life in the absence of God).  As the years rolled by I lost my love for music and became depressed.  I finally broke down and began to pray… not sure what to say, I just let Him have it!!  And a funny thing happened.  God showed up in some crazy ways!  That led to me totally surrendering my life and my music to Him.  When I did that, God gave my love and passion for music back to me.  For the first time in my life I had a purpose.  Another first, I actually read the bible all the way thru twice! There are many good books that help people that are struggling with their faith, but none had the impact on me that just simply reading the bible has.

When I came to church for the second time, I came in as a musician just wanting to offer my gifts, and I was met with love, grace and truth.  I had not experienced that before.  And there began my relationship with Grammy nominated and Emmy and Dove award winning JJ Plasencio (Gateway CC’s music director).  JJ recognized my gift for songwriting and asked me to co-write and produce a CD with him. One year later was birthed Rumor of glory’s “the story” and “the glory” a 2 CD set that explores and walks thru a man’s journey back to the Father. I never thought God would use me this way… that was only the beginning.  He continues to use me in amazing ways and my passion for making music continues to grow.  I just finished recording a new worship CD and I am leading worship at Adventure Christian Church in Roseville CA.  God is faithful.

I am a product of someone who stepped out, acted as Jesus would have, showed me love and grace and introduced me to a different God than I had known before.  He guided my steps and now I am hearing the call to spread the word and to use these gifts of music and song to glorify God.  He is the source of my strength, peace and inspiration.
